WINTER SERIES- Race 1
Nice southerly, between 15-20 knots but on flat water. The water colour was that beutifull green. Unfortunately we could muster only 4 for aboard for this race, one of which was a beginner on a keelboat. There were 16 starters on the start line.We got away to a good start and a good first leg. We decided to take it conservatiley downwind as we were shorthanded so we used the 1.5oz downwind. We handeled the downwind legs very well and made good(if not tight) layline calls upwind. We struggled for speed upwind due to us being light on the rail but probably made that up with good calls and fast downwind legs. In the end we came first overall..... Aboard were Ian, Walter, Rory(Beginner) and Dale
